There are many reports of what those with decades of experience want. The left wants to focus on some who say fence. There are others who say wall. A fence is not a wall. A NYT article (https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/22/us/politics/border-patrol-wall-immigration-trump-senate-democrats.html )argued that agents don’t want a wall, yet from the article:
“Customs and Border Protection officials said Border Patrol agents were asked to identify gaps in border security, not to propose solutions. They said that Border Patrol sector chiefs, from San Diego to the Rio Grande Valley in Texas, have voiced support for a border wall.”
Interesting their support was for a wall. It would be interesting to have an objective survey of agents for their actual preference, but it will never happen as too much politics involved and the objective of the left is to lessen whatever protection is developed, and more importantly to make it not permanent.
I believe it is time to make the Left “not permanent” - as in “not long for this world” - if you get my drift.
