The U.S. plans to turn asylum-seekers back across the border to wait for their court dates, a policy rights advocates have vowed to fight.

WASHINGTON — The Trump administration plans to begin turning asylum-seekers back across the southern border on Friday to wait in Mexico under a new policy designed to crack down on immigration by Central American families, according to three Department of Homeland Security officials familiar with the matter.

Customs and Border Protection officers will begin returning asylum-seekers trying to enter at the San Ysidro port of entry in California from Tijuana, Mexico, where thousands of migrants from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador are already waiting in poor conditions.

Under current policy, immigrants who pass an initial "credible fear" interview are allowed to remain in the U.S. while they wait for immigration judges to decide their cases. Single adults are detained while they await their hearing, but a federal court decision in 2015 mandates that families with children be detained no longer than 20 days.

So....they climb across the border, turn themselves in, then we record their flame and take them back to Mexico to wait? Sounds good to me.

No but I think if the come across the border their claim goes to the back of the line after those who waited on the other side.

Mexico doesn’t want them back. And won’t take them in view that somewhere 10,000 more on the way in the new caravan. Mexico will destroy itself by letting them accumulate.

I really don't understand this whole issue - from the position of the Trump Admin. Once these migrants refuse to ask for asylum in Mexico or any other country they set foot upon, they are no longer entitled to seek asylum in the US.

Of course the US can pass laws superseding that international law but I don't believe that we have. We have executive policies and (corrupt) judges' rulings. Reject these amnesty claims all out and force the do-nothing Congress to pass a law or continue to reject, reject, reject... and tell those judges to try to legislate.

Yes, I saw that GwP article and the fact that the S0r0s lackeys will go to the Ninth Circus and get a ruling that only a Democrap POTUS can decide these issues by executive order while conservative executives are automatically liable to impeachment... the whole lib agenda rests on judges legislating from the bench. Trump should just tell them: write the law, don't just pass gas from the bench.

Of course no judge - except John Roberts - would ever dare write legislation.

If Trump can pull this off this is a huge win...
