Capitalism is the only moral economic system because:
- It is based on reason, reality, and the proper relationship between consciousness and existence
- it is compatible with the nature of man as a rational being
- it is compatible with God-given natural rights such as life, liberty, private property, and pursuit of happiness
- it is compatible with the virtue of rationality and rationality’s derivative virtues, such as productiveness, justice, independence, integrity
- it is compatible with rational principles such as individualism and egoism
- it is the best system for aggregate wealth accumulation. Wealth is a real good required for happiness
- It is compatible with the rational politics of freedom and limited government
Socialism is incompatible with all of the above and is thus immoral.
Take a poll of randomly sampled subjects in this country and ask them if they believe there is a limit to how much wealth any one individual should be allowed to have.
I promise you, you aren’t going to like the results.
