My son, a millennial who is otherwise conservative, has said two things recently that worry me.
One...he said he would vote for whoever promises to pay teachers more. He is a teacher and this is very self serving. When I pointed out that such a person may be pro-abortion, or anti-second amendment, he said neither of those things mean much if he can't feed his family.
Two...while he doesn't believe in AGW, he doesn't think that proposed changes to lower carbon emissions are a big deal. As he put it, "even if they are wrong, at least we get cleaner air" and "only an idiot is in favor of burning fossil fuels."
