I know this author probably said this somewhat tongue-in-cheek.
But the answer is that they want your money NOW. All of this climate change crap depends on picking the wallets of the unsuspecting taxpayers.
Nothing will change over the next twelve years to the climate that hasn't already happened for millions of years in the evolution of the planet.
We didn't have a hand in creating climate change nor will your supreme arrogance be able to do anything to change it.
These twits just want our money. They're wannabe socialists/communists, not knowing what that really means.
I just read some lib report that it will be 20 years:-) I guess AOC has to, feels a need to upstage everyone and everything.

My son, a millennial who is otherwise conservative, has said two things recently that worry me.
One...he said he would vote for whoever promises to pay teachers more. He is a teacher and this is very self serving. When I pointed out that such a person may be pro-abortion, or anti-second amendment, he said neither of those things mean much if he can't feed his family.
Two...while he doesn't believe in AGW, he doesn't think that proposed changes to lower carbon emissions are a big deal. As he put it, "even if they are wrong, at least we get cleaner air" and "only an idiot is in favor of burning fossil fuels."

Yep, it is a “generational” issue. People from older generations have heard the “world is about to end from climate change in 12 years” over and over for decades, and we know nothing actually ever happens, because the left is crying wolf.
Maybe some day these kids will learn the same thing.

There are millions of people who think we can simply “fix” the Climate. They put Pelosi and this nimrod in charge.
