Eventually they will have to change the names of cities like San Francisco and Washington. We are going to have to lose most names of places and lots of words, as many of them can be traced etymogically to something offensive to someone who is not a Caucasian male.

They will have to invent new words, like Google did, to rename things.

If Columbus had not sailed in 1492, the New World would have been discovered in 1500 by Pedro Cabral. The Old World and the New World would not have remained isolated from each other for much longer.

The overwhelming majority of people living in North and South America have at least some ancestors who were living in Europe, Africa, or Asia in 1492. Without the discovery of America, they would not exist. That also goes for American Indians unless they are "full blooded."

How many American Indians, if taken back for a week to the society of their ancestors in 1492, would want to stay there instead of begging to return to 2019? It's always easy to idealize the Good Old Days.
