If the dems give this thumbs down, the president should lay off all of the workers effective immediately, so that they can collect unemployment insurance. This would be perfect. Relief for the poor Washington bureaucracy that hates him, they’d have to fork over less money, and he can NOT call back anyone he doesn’t want back.
Seriously, they actually didn’t listen and per their plan, no matter how demented Pelozi’s statement was well-written, and it wouldn’t have mattered what PDJT said. They have placed their best, and I believe they have underestimated PDJT to their demise.

Let Pelosi and Schumer explain — again — to their whacked-out base why they are “sacrificing” DACA (albeit, illegal aliens) so that President Trump does not get a big victory. Should be quite entertaining.
What’s interesting here is this: Trump has extended olive branch after olive branch. The demonrats keep denying it. This will push Trump to declare a National Emergency as he now calls it a “Humanitarian Crisis at the Southern Border” (notice the change in language today). The demonrats will trod off to the courts. An injunction will be placed on the National Emergency because the judge who thinks he can now determine such a thing will be repealed and it will be overturned in a higher court because a judge cannot determine matters of an emergency in which the President is privy to the security of the nation. Again the POTUS has played this well, by going onto national television he steals the talking points away from the demonrats to say it was childish meeting in which no video cameras were at.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi you are so in over your head. Some of your freshman met with Trump they are going to vote on the bill in the Senate and it will pass, then your own people are going to vote for it the House can you not see this coming, the next deal will be much less from President Trump if that don’t work HaHa

The Democrats are using the shutdown as a monetary raising tool to attempt to take back the U S Senate. I think Gardner is already gone. This is all about Collins. How many federal gov’t workers are in Maine?
Jones in AL will lose his seat though. That would mean the Republicans would still have a two seat advantage in the U S Senate in 2020.

I’ve been a laid off gov’t worker. No one opened up food pantries for me and my fellow workers who were laid off and get free food.
