Just watched it - he nailed it ...especially since Dems will decline and show they really care not a whit about those they claim to care so much about - and care even less for the People.
The woman keeps saying Trump is doing this for his base in order to please them.
He made it clear he wants to have this done for the American people to keep us all safe
The guy said that the President and the dems aren't talking to each other
Trump has been waiting in the White House since this started and has let the dem leadership know he is ready to talk any time
This speech is him not addressing the American people but also is put out there as a message to Pelosi and Schumer
As he is speaking Pelosi is on her way home on a plane with a drink in her hand and another one on the way.
She will have to watch a rerun unless she got her plane back

This might be exactly why Trump decided to speak today. If he was going to announce building the wall anyway, what better time than when it’s blatantly obvious the Dems are hellbent on leaving Washington rather than stay and negotiate.
He looks sane and rational, they look hopelessly stubborn and petty as hell. Amazing timing.
