President Trump plans to use remarks from the Diplomatic Reception Room on Saturday afternoon to propose a notable immigration compromise, according to sources familiar with the speech.
Details: The offer is expected to include Trumps $5.7 billion demand for wall money in exchange for the BRIDGE Act which would extend protections for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and also legislation to extend the legal status of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders, according to a source with direct knowledge.
Jared Kushner and Mike Pence have led the crafting of this deal and the negotiations with members, according to White House officials.

I did read it. McConnell told him the truth. Nancy is entrenched and cannot move.
Why should Pelosi move? She has top cover from doormat Mitch “We’ll repeal Obamacare root and branch” McConnell. The real problem isn’t Pelosi. The problem is we have a general in the White House without an army.
Don’t be concern trolls...he’s forcing them to either cave themselves or show that Nancy fled D.C. because she’s afraid she and hers are losing big time...here’s a call for all concern trolls to find and hit a “Donate” button....at least they will be doing something useful instead of finding ways to erode support for the best President in my 66+ years on the planet.
“Bait article for the never Trump crowd!”
It certainly showed us who the stupid people are on FR.
You know, those who would accuse POTUS of caving on the wall funding.
Those stupid people.
Two-hundred miles of wall for a couple million more in amnesty is nothing. He could simply hold out two days more and win the right to fire hundreds of thousands of Deep State federal employee chumps AND declare a national emergency to build the wall correctly, in full, immediately.
This is a massive, massive cave.
Ummm, what makes you think Trump doesn’t know what he’s doing? Maybe a few examples?
If Trump’s willing to deal he’s thought this through...
I'm with you. Too many Nervous Nancys on FR lately (or they're trolls...).
Bingo
That's correct. The important point is to hold firm on an actual solution for stopping the next 10,000,000 illegals. That's really the only thing that matters and is also difficult and multifaceted (e.g. requires enforcement against employers of illegals). But the Dems will turn it all down figuring the media will somehow pull out a win for them.
That he lost the House in a big way and is going to get impeached? That they are probably holding blackmail over him re: his family being indicted? That he didn’t get Obamacare repealed and with his admin half over he hasn’t begun to round up the Deep State, secure the border, or expel most of the 30 million-plus illegals currently in country—or correct our horrible immigration legislation? That instead he’s preparing a massive, 13-year crony capitalism “public-private partnership” that will put much of our infrastructure into long-term private hands?
“the Judiciary including the SC is going to protect the DACA people”
Some Obama appointee in Illinois is not “the judiciary” and the Supreme Court has not even signaled what they think of DACA.
What is the basis of your assertion?
AND the courts will kill that idea in 10 minutes. Then will take 3 years to overturn the courts.
“The Dems cant possibly accept and Trump knows it. This is a PR event designed to shame the Democrats and display them to be the bad faith actors they are.”
Correct.
On the contrary, he is giving up nothing, as you have noted, but it sounds good. The Democrats will look bad for turning it down. Just good political negotiations.
Could go immediately to the Supremes and the law and precedent are entirely on his side. (Supposedly the court two, with his having already named two Justices and on his way to a third.)
Ive been afraid all along that you were right.
I have no idea. But I do know that Trump follows the law and the Constitution and respects the court decisions (even while criticizing the liberal judges). I like that and I don't want a dictatorship.
“1986 destroyed our country”
Ridiculous.
“Now I have to reopen the government.”
You’re letting your wishful thinking show.
Some Obama appointee in Illinois is not the judiciary and the Supreme Court has not even signaled what they think of DACA.
Refusing to take up the case and leaving POTUS bare behind to the wind is a pretty big signal.
50%? Laughable
