:...statements to the Special Counsels Office, and characterization of documents and testimony obtained by this office, regarding Michael Cohens Congressional testimony are not accurate.”
My take is that the statement is not so much what I would term “general” but, rather all encompassing. It’s basically saying that Buzzfeeds assertions concerning their evidence, including documentation AND testimony from witnesses corroborating any statemnts made by Cohen concerning being told by Trump to lie to Congress is “inaccurate” or false.
that is certainly one way to look at it.
Seems Mueller’s team could have just simply said: “It’s all not true”.
Instead, they seemed to have chose their words very carefully.
The RATs are in a feeding frenzy and there is no blood in the water.
I’m guessing the Mueller statement will be ignored by the rabids.
Schiff has already said he will take it up in investigation.
If he does, Mueller’s statement was ignored.
Course, there are now rumblings Cohen is going to back out of his 2/7/2019 appearance before Congress.
In all my life I could never imagine seeing anything like all this...trying to gut the POTUS.
Oh well, back to the snow.
FreeRegards.
New York Times throws a bit of cold water on BuzzFeed's explosive -- and now seriously challenged -- report that Trump instructed Michael Cohen to lie to Congress: https://t.co/9N7MiHs7et pic.twitter.com/7FJFT9D8fW— ErikWemple (@ErikWemple) January 19, 2019
If you're one of the people tempted to believe the self-evidently laughable claim that there's something "vague" or unclear about Mueller's statement, or that it just seeks to quibble with a few semantic trivialities, read this @WashPost story about this https://t.co/0io99LyATS pic.twitter.com/ca1TwPR3Og— Glenn Greenwald (@ggreenwald) January 19, 2019
