We mustn’t forget the ‘40 years the Rs ‘spent in the desert’’ when they didn’t have to attend meetings (shut out of most of them), weren’t even a faint voice in the wilderness, all that was required of them was to ‘kiss babies’ and raise money as the Ds were running EVERYTHING...then along came Newt ... the newbies were fine but the old timers ‘missed’ the days of no responsibility, all they had to do was stand up and say something anti D, then go back to whatever they were doing.
If the Ds -in the minority -were after something and all the Rs ‘went home’ or on a junket’ WITH a D PRES etc ...the Ds would have opened the house and passed most anything they wanted....

Spot on. I can’t help but think of that when listening to Hannity rant day after day. Week after week. Month after month about Democrat criminals. To what end, Sean? Where’s the beef? The careerist GOP is all hat and no cattle. They have ZERO intention of engaging the Democrat felons. My disgust for them grows by the day.
