It is the massive ball of molten magnetic material moving beneath the crust of the earth that is causing the shift. It may just eventually flip.
If it flips, will the whole earth flip or just it? That would be a ride to remember.
Good friend who works at NASA tells me to prepare for a flip! I bought a couple of extra strong NASCAR sets!
Actually the core is just an element of the magnetic field. The change in the field is partly due to the reduction in the Sun's output.
It may just eventually flip.
The Sun is undergoing a pole reversal right now. It may cause the Earth's magnetic field to flip, as you say. Maybe not all the way, but it may slip halfway, then flip back. Who knows?
All evidence suggests we are entering a new 'minimum' and that it will get colder on average globally.
Actually you are correct. In past magnetic flips the magnetic poles positions become very unstable before the flip. The next 100 years may be interesting, but not in a good way. There is a brief period of no magnetic shield from the solar wind and cosmic rays. Bad things happen then as it did in the past. This is just normal and they can not blame global warming for this.
Yep....I keep hearing this on Coast to Coast.... That show is pretty fun and interesting, except when they focus on numerology and the other things I find dopey. Mostly, it is great listening when you can’t sleep.
