We’re being invaded(for decades now). I’d say that’s a national emergency. Hopefully, there’s no mention of DACA or amnesty. Just that he’s going to build the wall with the military.
Already the left is mouthing “Abuse of Power” and the machinery is getting into gear to stop the President in the courts.
Drudge Report is littered with comments from left-wing law school and defense agency know-it-alls who are loudly proclaiming there is no “National Emergency”.
There are even references to the parts of the U.S. Code which the Administration will be relying upon (Defense Department allocations for military construction) so that the net result is, before any steps have been taken by the White House, the left has been handed all of the plans in advance.
Frankly it is troublesome to me why this has to be the process, and why there is always this telegraphing of the President’s intentions to his enemies before he takes action.
