If socialism takes over the trickle of outgoing people will become a torrent, beginning with science and technical professionals.
Lots of available space in Venezuela, since 20 percent of the population has left. Added plus: NO PLASTIC STRAWS!!!
I’ve heard in the past snopes is factless MSM tripe.
I googled Ginsburg’s remark and found a few sources that states she did discuss it:
Japan is awesome. Come on over.
Well... theres no WALL to keep them in..
So buh-bye and good luck with your socialist dreams!
Prolly the best financial decision we could all make as nation would be to give each a one-way ticket to Venezuela with 50K cash in hand!! They can then “live the dream”!!!LOL
PULEEZE! PULEEZE! PULEEZE!
LEAVE!
Families that dont like the liberal school system?
For those who are “thinking” of leaving...Get the H*** OUT! This society has no use for defeatists, weaklings, and losers. I bet most of those expressing such a view are too weak to follow through. They will just sit around and whine.
I bet they are real contributors.
Nothing is stopping them. They even have gofundme as a platform if they lack the funds.
Where do I send a contribution for their plane tickets?
We’ve heard that Panama and Costa Rica could be good havens for American conservatives. We’ll be in both places in March and it’ll be interesting to get a feel for those places. Since they’re just ports on a cruise, we’ll get no great info, I’m sure. We can’t leave. Too old. Six pets.
I know of a lot of Expat Americans - most retired .Mil types, lots for SOF.
They live in Mexico, Costa Rica and Chili - all very nice place.
Most speak fluent Spanish and many have ‘married into’ the culture - so their in-laws help then to live the area. Others are so-called Asian Rats settling in Thailand, Korea and Japan. Again, marriage to a local helps.
I even had a guy as a neighbor, retired Green Bean that lived in Serbia. He can ‘home’ to Alaska only due to advanced (and ultimately fatal) cancer. His final desire was to be buried n a US Military cemetery - as he had done 24 years in the Army...
Another SoF type I knew lived in Cambodia on a farm he owned with his wife. Again, lost him to cancer. His ashes were spread across his farm.
So, yes, their is life outside of the US - it is just a different kind of life.
ALmost all of the Expats give one of two reasons - their retired dollar goes a lot further/way lower cost of living or they left the US to ‘be free’ - on that one I have no idea....
Buh bye
I actually started the process when Hillary looked like she’d win. Like it or not, with stacked courts, the ONLY way to stop her would have been civil war*, and I’m too old to be doing that. Having an immigrant wife is handy, as it’s simple for us to move to the “old country”.
*I can give details, if you need it, but it includes things like allowing vote-rigging, not stopping Executive Orders, not stopping her from bypassing Congress...etc.
But there needs to be legislation or an amendment which declares, upon exit, one permanently and irrevocably surrenders any voting rights or claim to any monetary payments in perpetuity. If their American children return, the parents who fled shall never be eligible for return under any circumstances, including tourism and bereavement.
We’re outta here in about two years. We’re going to live three months to a tear in various tropical places, circling the globe. Life’s too short, we’ve had enough of this stupidity. Time to check out and just enjoy life.
I have a friend who has bought 10 acres in southern Chili lake country, right near where the Bushes and other elites have their hideaway resort properties. Were it not for his invalid mother, he’d be there now. Where 1950s and 1960s music prevails.
They can leave, but the condition is they must take 2 gibbsmedatz with them.
