Wouldn’t work. The opposing teams would be able to see all of his plays on the teleprompter.
He would have his a$$ handed to him.
Well, he is "Bathhouse Barry" and "leading from behind" comes naturally to him.
Not a Celtics fan, but the 1986 Championship team was one of the best squads I have ever seen. Walton was a member, the previous season was a mediocre one for him, with the Clippers. When the Celtics played the Lakers, one game, they absolutely destroyed them, and Walton had a superb game, that day. During a time out, Laker announcer, the late, great Chick Hearn quipped “Many of you Clipper fans watching Walton today are probably asking ‘Gee, why couldn’t be play like that, for our team?’” .
Yeah, I can just see Obama’s teleprompter, probably put on an iPad for discretion, telling him what to say on timeouts, for plays after timeouts, for when to call a timeout, what players to play and to substitute, etc.
He’d be great at it and all the MSM would ooh and ah about how advanced and innovative he is, using an iPad like that.
“Obamas final four picks were that tight?”
Yeah, really! Isn’t Michelle’s brother a College BBall Coach? Maybe they should get him. I don’t think Barack likes hard work enough to do that job.
Yes, he supported the SLA even after they kidnapped Hearst—so no surprise he would support terrorist Bill Ayers’ buddy Barack Obama.
Walton was “connected” to the underground Marxist/terrorist network that provided hiding places to the SLA (Symbionese Liberation Army - a mix of black supremacist Marxists led by a pure psychopath (Cinque) and their white supporters, also psychopaths in their own rights (one was featured on a TV documentary a couple weeks ago and admitted that they were crazy - possible name Burroughs).
They killed a very good black school superintendent/principal (Marcus) in cold blood, kidnapped and raped heiress Patty Hearst (she fell for the Stockholm Syndrome effect with her rapist), robbed banks, etc.
Eventually most were killed in a shootout with Oakland police who used incendiary bullets which set the SLA house on fire and the reds got their asses and the rest of them burnt to a crisp.
A couple were arrested and jailed for up to life.
The documentary was by CNN and the host was leftist law professor Jonathan Toobin, who actually did a good job of narrating the film. After all, most Leftists and liberals didn’t like un-controlled Marxist terrorists/killers. Many preferred the more organized Weathermen (Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn) rather than the SLA and later the post-Weathermen survivors “May 19th Communist Organization” (M19CO) and their black killer counterparts of the “Black Liberation Army” (BLA).
Some of my sources on the M19CO/BLA included the police officer who helped first expose their front operations as well as an FBI agent (who turned out to be a former schoolmate of mine) who was conducting surveillance on them.
By the way, the House Internal Security Committee put out a small but concise report on the SLA in about 1974, the only govt report I could find about them other than the FBI Annual Report.
Then the Dems abolished HISC in 1975 and that was the end of most congressional reports on communist, black and Middle Eastern terrorism in the US though Sen. Jeremiah Denton’s Sen. Internal Security Subcommittee, Sen. Judiciary Committee, did survive until about 1983 when the Dems, led by Sen. Ted “Moscow” Kennedy, helped defund and then abolish them, leaving the American public literally deaf and blind about terrorist operations in the US.
[The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence did some work on Soviet operations in the US thanks to the great work of the late Herbert Romerstein and his fellow staffers as did the USIA’s section on “Soviet Disinformation”, led by Romerstein and Todd Leventhal].
As I recall, Walton refused to provide the police, and possibly the FBI, any information he had on the whereabouts of the kidnapped Patty Hearst though his fingerprints were found in a barn in Pennsylvania where she had been kept.
The old internal security newsletter, “The Pink Sheet on the Left/American Sentinel”, did a small substory on the SLA/Hearst and Walton as part of the Special Report on terrorist networks/hideouts in the US in 1979, Issue #279.
Walton was, as far as I know, charged as an “accessory after the facts” and “aiding and abetting” the Hearst kidnappers. He was a hard-core, very nasty leftist POS and as far as I know, he still is.
The name of the sports Marxist is Richard Lapchick. I think he was the one who became a professor re sports and society, possibly at Rutgers.
He and another leftist formed the American support wing for the South African Marxists anti-Springbok soccer team tour of the U.S. Their group may have been called “ACCESS”.
