My wife is 61 years old and she loved watching this every year. She quit about three years ago due to the politics of it.

I’m sorry for not posting this earlier because I actually discovered this last year. Tell your wife she can have her Rose Parade back next New Years Day.
RFDTV has absolutely wonderful coverage...like it used to be 20 years ago. They show the floats & talk about details; feature each band...NO celebrity interviews or other ridiculous stuff.
I had read about this essay prior to the parade. The lovely female hosts on RFDTV made a happy mention that she may be the first Queen who is Jewish & wears glasses..then they moved on right quick.
RFD also broadcasts Equestfest...which occurs a couple of days prior to the parade. It features all of the parade horse entries...where you will get to watch the drill teams, Cavalry, the Bud Clydesdales & others actually “perform” as opposed to just marching down the street.
