Wait a minute... I thought that if the illegal applied for refugee status, they’d be immediately sent back to Mexico to wait for their hearing. And if they didn’t apply for refugee status they could be deported immediately. WTF are they being released? Yet another ‘RAT judge’s order?

From what I can find out,The processing center personnel were deemed non-essential since the deal with Obrador to keep them in Mexico. At midnight Sunday they emptied them (processing) out and went home.
When the mojados find out their are no freebies in the US it kills the coyote trade. By the time the new 'rat House is seated they will be begging President Trump to end the shutdown.

Obrador is not doing this out of the goodness of his heart. He's worried the surge of Central/South Americans is going to disrupt the "cash cow" of illegals sending money back to Mexico. It would play havoc with the Mexican economy.
It would not surprise me that he has been reassured that the US will provide the funding while he takes a "victory lap" as a great humanitarian.

You thought huh? That is why the border needs to be militarized and the BP sent packing to the rear.

Hell, over half of BP is paid off anyway if they have been in the service for more than 5 years. You could not imagine the vehicles the paid off ones drive right in our face.
