When I was in college we were required to take a few classes that were not “general requirements” and were not in your major; sociology classes were the best for driving up your GPA. If you showed up and had a pulse, you got an “A”.
At my university, the trick was to pick the instructor. Tenure permitted some to go slack and pass out easy marks to their classes.
Same here. I took Sociology because it was an easy A. Anyone who majored in Sociology would have been too stupid to major in Psychology.
