Hmmm. Since the judicial reformation in the sixties, judges in Oklahoma run on an apolitical ballot? Most, if not all, judges in Oklahoma that I have appeared before are not from the liberal democrat “theology.” Maybe you are referring to Little Dixie?
Agreed that “the times, they are a changin’” but, just because they run on an apolitical ballot doesn’t mean that they aren’t political. I covered 26 counties in Eastern Oklahoma and nearly every county courthouse was full of Democrats, including the judges. Some were players in the democrat party before becoming judges or prosecutors.
