U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor agreed with 19 States to declare the Affordable Care Act, (aka Obamacare) Unconstitutional because Congress revoked the tax penalty last year.

This will be the next big showdown at the SCOTUS — during which the SCOTUS will rule 5-4 that the Constatution is unconstitutional. Just jokin’. Sort of.

IIRC Roberts also said that it was Congress’ duty to change the law. They did, by removing the tax, so ACA should be dead.

They claimed that when Congress repealed the tax penalty last year, it eliminated the U.S. Supreme Court’s rationale for finding the ACA constitutional in 2012.”
So a judge is ruling that SCROTUS’ rewriting of Obolacare is unconstitutional? It’s so hard to keep track of all this...

Wrong interpretation. SCOTUS ruled it a tax.
Tax was removed after President Trump was elected.
The constitutional basis for ObamaCare removed.
It is now UN-constitutional.
Yes. The point is that SCROTUS rewrote the law from the bench saying that it was a tax when it wasn’t written that way—unconstitutionally...on an unconstitutional ‘bill’ called obolacare.
So, now we will see if states are able to set up high risk pools for those with pre-existing conditions in time for the 2020 elections. If not, a good be tough for Republicans.

Wow, but not surprisingly, ObamaCare was just ruled UNCONSTITUTIONAL by a highly respected judge in Texas. Great news for America!
Hardly moot if the decision is upheld.
If it is ruled unconsitutional, it is back to the drawing board.
The old system will never pass the new Senate. Trump will never sign it.
I try not to be a Debbie Downer but in the case it’s not hard to be.
