The REPUBLICANS are ADDING a SEAT on the Judiciary to allow this. The NET result Republican will have a +2 majority instead of a +1 majority. This will prevent a future FLAKE being able to hamstring the Judiciary Committee by siding with Democrats.

11 Republicans(Including the worthless Jeff Flake)
10 Democrats(Including Harris)

Because of the recent election results in the Senate the Democrats were going to LOSE a member making it:

11 Republicans
9 Democrats

The NEW Judiciary Committee will be 22 Members.

12 Republicans(NO FLAKE!)
10 Democrats(Including Harris)
