What is scary is that it is the magnetosphere which protects against the flood of solar particles we would otherwise be bathed in. While the magnetic field approaches zero during its ‘flip,’ I hate to think of what we will be exposed to. The hole in the ozone layer is nothing in comparison.

Or hows this — earth has a minimal mag field that is overcome by the charged particles flowing (current) into our atmosphere. This gives us the current north-south polarity and mag intensity. Remove or reduce the sun's contribution to the equation and the earth's true mag field dominates.
Again, this presumes that the charged particles are flowing in the atmosphere to induce a field.

God’s knowledge of the future appears to be because He doesn’t exist in time like we do. God knowing the future doesn’t mean you don’t have free will. God may already know what you are going to choose. But you were created with free will. And it’s your free choice that determines whether you live or die.
Geologic record shows numerous such changes over the very long term. Magnetic poles wander, weaken, strengthen, and flip. The current weakening does not bode well for us, but historically does point to a flip in the making.

Again, given that God knows you are going to make really bad decisions, why would He create you to make those really bad decisions.
What does it mean.?
Mars used to have a thicker atmosphere and a magnetic field. One of the nice things about the magnetic field is that it “reflects” the charged particles coming from the sun [called the solar wind). If these particles are not diverted, the Earth’s atmosphere would slowly be stripped away like happened on Mars
And of course radiation levels would increase also.

Since the magnetic field does aid in deflecting charged particles both from the sun & the rest of the universe.
Charged particles we do know can cause mutations and cancer in living beings. So an increase in charge particles hitting the earth could mean some measureable increase in cancer rates. Also charged particles do effect the rate of cloud formation, so more charged particles means more clouds. More clouds more of the sun’s radiation reflected back into space, so a cooler earth.
