The Truce of Twilight

Enjoy it while it lasts because soon it will be different
Pernicious playgrounds and new age cultism
Outbreaks of optimism in care homes of England
The famous goodwill dumped in your fly tips so…
Go raise your idols pull them out the marshes
Go give them sanctuary put them in your new builds
Because everything is now a live stream the noise is rising
Curtain twitchers can take out their sunscreen

It looks like it’s come to rest

“You know, she’s not wrong.”

Actually not.....Running away from a battle that you’re assured of losing is not cowardice, it’s prudent. Doesn’t make it right but it’s the only feasible option.

Theresa May is a Remoaner. That said, many Tory backbenchers don’t want this crappy deal and she knows her government may fall when they oppose her on this vote. That could usher in new elections, which may lead to Stalinist Corbyn coming to power.

“Say ‘Backstop’ again; I dare you mofo; say “Backstop” one mo’ %*#@& time!”

I listened to that Maggie May PM’s double-negative doubletalk and every third word was “backstop”.

I wanted Samuel L. Jackson to jump in and stop her stop her (and take a bite out of her Big Kahuna Burger, too)!

The Brits wish to have their own currency, do not want EU bureaucrats telling them how to live their daily lives, definitely do not want a draconian EU EPA regulating their economy and still want what is left of the trade benefits inherent in the British Commonwealth. Yet they inherently realize that if they don’t come to terms with the German economic behemoth cloaked as the EU, they will slowly but surely become an economic backwater with a lower standard of living. The Germans accomplished with their economy what they could not accomplish by force of arms. They de facto rule the continent. Theresa “I am no Churchill” will surrender. Sic transit Britannia.

My suggestion:

IRISH MATTERS

The customs services of Republic of Ireland and the UK shall collect and forward appropriate custom revenue for products destined for their counterpart’s territory.

Border security along the border of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland shall be a matter under the control of their national governments, subject to agreements between their national governments.

You wouldn’t need the soda if it was a Royale with Cheese.

That's the simple issue; and that's the answer. They've got this. But bureaucrats love to complicate simplicity with non-issues with their own special obfuscatory linguistic infections.

How manly people know that if this agreement is signed then it provides a provision that EU actors are subject to British law, and cannot be charged for past crimes.

“It’s mine. My own. My Brexit”.
Those are the words of actor Andy Serkis, who has reimagined his portrayal of Gollum from Lord of the Rings in a campaign to push for a so-called People’s Vote — a second referendum — and ultimately remain in the European Union.
