French govt requires all car owners to buy one and keep it in the car for when the vehicle is disabled etc. It signifies that these are all middle class people out there protesting taxes.

Guess the progressives figure that it is another way to ‘tax’ people and figure the vest is the same as having a life jacket on a boat or smoke detector in a home.

Wonder if the GOVT ‘gives away’ the vests?

We sometimes have firefighters going to neighborhoods and checking homes for smoke detectors and give them away on occasion(?).
