When President Trump first threatened to levy major tariffs on China, business leaders worried the administration was using the wrong weapon on the right target.
It wasn’t the flood of washing machines coming in and the trickle of Fords going out that raised the ire of America’s CEOs. They wanted something done about counterfeiting, allegations that the Chinese were stealing U.S. intellectual property and investment rules Beijing leans upon that force technology transfers.

WSJ article this morning says US CEOs are agreeing that Trump’s China approach is on target.
Of course not, why de industrialization is a good thing. /SARCASM
And note that both Senators from Iowa, Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst, have expressed support for Pres. Trump’s trade policies despite the agriculture sector supposedly ‘suffering the most’.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it be easy for the CEOs to do something about counterfeiting by, I don't know, NOT MOVING FACTORIES TO CHINA IN THE FIRST PLACE? It seems to me that I have read that China requires foreign manufacturers to disclose sensitive information about their products and processes. There is only one reason for them to have this requirement.
