and 1.4 million doses (of 45 different vaccines) were given to 376,452 individuals. Of these
doses, 35,570 possible reactions (2.6 percent of vaccinations) were identified. This is an average
of 890 possible events, an average of 1.3 events per clinician, per month. These data were
presented at the 2009 AMIA conference.
In addition, ESP:VAERS investigators participated on a panel to explore the perspective of
clinicians, electronic health record (EHR) vendors, the pharmaceutical industry, and the FDA
towards systems that use proactive, automated adverse event reporting.
Adverse events from drugs and vaccines are common, but underreported. Although 25% of
ambulatory patients experience an adverse drug event, less than 0.3% of all adverse drug events
and 1-13% of serious events are reported to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
***-> Likewise, fewer than 1% of vaccine adverse events are reported. *<- Low reporting rates preclude or
slow the identification of “problem” drugs and vaccines that endanger public health. New
surveillance methods for drug and vaccine adverse effects are needed. Barriers to reporting

“The 1986 Act granted unprecedented, economic immunity to pharmaceutical companies for injuries caused by their products and eviscerated economic incentive for them to manufacture safe vaccine products or improve the safety of existing vaccine products. Congress therefore charged the Secretary of HHS with the explicit responsibility to assure vaccine safety.
Hence, since 1986, HHS has had the primary and virtually sole responsibility to make and assure improvements in the licensing, manufacturing, adverse reaction reporting, research, safety and efficacy testing of vaccines in order to reduce the risk of adverse vaccine reactions. In order to assure HHS meets its vaccine safety obligations, Congress required as part of the 1986 Act that the Secretary of HHS submit a biennial reports to Congress detailing the improvements in vaccine safety made by HHS in the preceding two years.”
In an effort to gain access to these safety reports, ICAN filed a Freedom of Information Act request In August of 2017 to the HHS only to be blocked from receiving information for over eight months. Do to this delay, ICAN and Kennedy were forced to bring a lawsuit against HHS to provide copies of these reports to Congress or to admit that they never actually filed these reports.
“The result of the lawsuit is that HHS had to finally and shockingly admit that it never, not even once, submitted a single biennial report to Congress detailing the improvements in vaccine safety. This speaks volumes to the seriousness by which vaccine safety is treated at HHS and heightens the concern that HHS doesn’t have a clue as to the actual safety profile of the now 29 doses, and growing, of vaccines given by one year of age.”
I got a flu shot my Senior year in College, hoping to avoid it during the major parts of my graduation requirement. Well, the shot worked well: I got the flu.
Except for the first time that the swine flu was big and my employer pretty much forced everyone to get the shot, I’ve not had one since. And, being in my 60s now, I don’t plan to break my almost 40 year streak now or in the future.
Never had a flu shot, heck I never even HEARD of a healthy person getting a flu shot till I moved to California. Had some moonbat at my job chasing me around every day asking if I had the shot yet, kept telling her no. She was getting downright upset telling me “I was putting everyone at risk” told her I did not care leave me alone, go away.. that seemed to end it.
The more they push this shot, the more people that pop up out of nowhere to defend it, the less I trust it. And no, I am not anti Vax, but VERY anti flu shot.

I got one flu shot decades ago even tho I never got sick. I was sick for months that year with devastating flu. Ever since, no flu shots for me and no flu. I take three grams of VitaminC every day of my life and don’t get sick. Period.
Other supplements too, but credit C with disease protection.
I get one every couple of years. I went this year and the young gal asked if I wanted the regular flu shot or the one that is four times stronger. I asked which one will kill you. She just gave me a smiley face Cortez laugh. So I got the weaker one. Felt crappy for three days.
I honestly I cannot recall if I had a flu shot prior to the swine flu fiasco. But as I watched that clusterf**k unfold I said to myself I’m not getting one now or ever.
After I was circumcised, I couldn’t walk or speak intelligibly for almost 2 years!
Irony of ironies. Before vaccines, millions used to die from various diseases. Now, because of vaccines, many of these diseases are rare—some now nonexistent. The irony? People who don’t believe in vaccines now live long enough to complain about them. It’s a blessing, I guess.
I had a former co-worker who became permanently paralyzed from the flu shot. I’ll never get one.
I once had a flu shot many years ago. Felt like I was going to die afterward. Sick as a dog. Never had one since and haven’t had the flu either.
Flu shots are the biggest scam there is, and to top it off they are dangerous.
The flu shot can never work due to the very nature of the flu. If we knew what any years flu was going to be comprised of we could stop the flu forever. But you cannot, all it is a biological cocktail guess.
No offense, but whomever gets the flu shot is an fool.
If a vaccination or a flu shot, or whatever, protects MILLIONS of people and fails or reacts in a few....you don’t stop taking it.....your odds are probably the same as getting hit by a car on your way home.....
If I wasn’t a cancer survivor, I wouldn’t be getting flu shots. Apparently nowadays, you’re considered not to ever be cured of the cancer; the cancer is simply dormant. A major illness like a case of the flu could trigger a recurrence, so I see it as in my best interest to get a flu shot. Same with the shingles and pneumococcal pneumonia vaccines, once my health insurance begins to cover them.
It’s a risk benefit scenario. If your vitamin d blood levels are therapeutic and you aren’t already on death’s door, stay healthy all winter (diet, exercise, sleep, vitamins) and your chance of dying from the flu is next to nothing.
If you get the flu shot without knowing everything about every aspect of your immune system, you have a greater risk of nasty sequelae from the flu shot.
Eventually, vaccines will be personalized according to each patient but this is still the primitive era where vaccines are given to everyone like in the 1950s. It’s wrong and there are huge risks. Most people won’t be affected but plenty will: either chronic sequelae or late in life neuro issues, unborn issues (flu shots are RECOMMENDED for poor fetuses through their mothers’ bloodstreams).
This poor man had no idea his unique internal situation was not a safe place for this injection. Neither do any of us. Unlucky and very sad.
As far back as the 70s, my aunt got a “swine flu” shot, which made her seriously ill.
They've both since recovered but it took a long time......
My brother had a stroke the day after he had a flu shot. He recovered, and we are thankful. No more flu shots though.
