A Las Vegas man lost his vision, became partially paralyzed and has been unable to breathe without assistance since getting a flu shot last month.
Shane Morgan and his wife Monique decided to get flu shots on November 2, believing it would help protect them and young family members ahead of the busy holiday season.
But what they thought was a pro-active measure turned to horror when Shane began losing feeling in his arms and legs.
“About 36-hours after he got the flu shot he started to get sick,” Monique explained to KSNV.
“I never dreamed that any of this could ever happen,” Shane told local media.

Doctors at Centennial Hills Hospital diagnosed Shane with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a known vaccine adverse reaction characterized by the CDC as an “autoimmune disorder in which a person’s own immune system damages the nerves, causing muscle weakness and sometimes paralysis.”
Monique blames the flu shot for triggering the adverse reaction, which has left Shane in need of a ventilator and a feeding tube.
“It’s the last time anyone in my family will ever get one,” she said, adding Sha

Since my daughter had adverse reactions to her childhood immunizations, she opted to delay them for her daughter. Now 2, my granddaughter has been exposed weekly to seniors in assisted living, and other children in a daycare setting. All of those children have been vaccinated but are more prone to upper respiratory illnesses. They cough and wheeze, exposing my granddaughter to a wealth of germs. So far, other than an occasional sniffle, she has never been sick. Like you, she has built up a natural defense.

I beg to differ with you. A couple of years ago a friend of mine mentioned she had gotten a flu shot at a fundraising committee meeting. The next day she didn't show up for the fundraiser.
We were shocked to find she had been transferred to a university hospital with Guillain-Barré Syndrome - all she could move was her toe. She died within days.
My friend was very healthy before the flu shot.

The flu kills hundreds of people each year. Back in 1915 it killed millions worldwide. And yet you, some anonymous nobody share your obviously uneducated opinion contrary to every health care agency in the world that vaccines work. They eradicated diseases that plagued the world for
centuries like smallpox, polio, diphtheria, tb,whooping cough, measles, mumps, etc etc etc. A tiny amount of people have an adverse reaction to vaccines. Everyone knows this fact but the tiny risk is far outweighed by the benefit. In fact the more people that refuse vaccines the more it damages herd immunity for the general population and allows the eradication of diseases to reappear. So it is not just a personal decision. It affects everyone.
