The supervisor he reported the threat to, Special Agent in Charge William Newell is the guy who started Fast and Furious. Fast and Furious as we all know was not an attempt to “track” criminal gangs.
It was a scheme to have guns from Americas gun stores found at crime scenes and in raids on cartels all across Mexico. Then Americans would have to have their rights curtailed because it was “fueling Mexican violence”.
This effort was supported by a major propaganda push the 18 months before with numerous news articles. F&F was going to be the proof.
