I posted this on a thread the other night, I hope you don't mind if I post it again here. By the way, I am not being apocalyptic about this as much as trying to shine a light on the process of ballot harvesting, which I think is unknown to the vast majority of citizens. When I heard this term, I had absolutely no idea what "ballot harvesting" was. I only heard this term recently for the first time. As I learned more, I became progressively more shocked, appalled, and disgusted by what I found.

IMPORTANT DISTINCTION: PROVISIONAL BALLOTS DO NOT NEED A "POSTMARK" AND ARE HANDLED OUTSIDE THE MAIL SERVICE. PROVISIONAL BALLOTS ARE NOT ABSENTEE BALLOTS.

This piece at The Daily Caller: WHAT IS ‘BALLOT HARVESTING,’ AND HOW DID CALIFORNIA DEMS USE IT TO NUKE THE GOP? completely blew me away.

Just blew me away.

Here is the link to the embedded video on YouTube that shows just how brazen and focused this is: YouTube video recording harvesting in action: "Picking up my ballot?"

This is a transcript of the dialogue in the video that I put together as best I could.

BRANDY: Who is it?

DEMOCRAT WORKER LULU: Hey, I'm looking for Brandy?

BRANDY: Who is it?

DEMOCRAT WORKER LULU: Lulu. I came here to pick up your ballot.

BRANDY: What do you mean, picking it up?

DEMOCRAT WORKER LULU: Yeah, I bring this little service, but only to, like, people who are supporting the Democratic Party. It's a service, I'm just hear to pick up your ballot...show you how to do it, if you don't know.

BRANDY: You came here to pick up my ballot?

DEMOCRAT WORKER LULU: Yeah (chuckles) it's new, the bill just passed last year, at the end. So there is, there's been a problem with like, people, um...like half the ballots that were mailed out last year didn't get back, a lot of people weren't signing the envelope in the back and stuff, but...(trails off)

BRANDY: Let me look...

DEMOCRAT WORKER LULU: Okay.

BRANDY: I think I filled it out...(inaudible)

DEMOCRAT WORKER LULU: Yeah, well I'm working with the bill that was passed and stuff, it's not like I am going to take it and fabricate it. It has to be sealed and it has to be signed for me to even touch it...ummm...

BRANDY: How will I even know that (inaudible)

DEMOCRAT WORKER LULU: Okay.

The end of the exchange is inaudible, but you hear the mailbox slot on the door, which I assume is the ballot being passed through the slot to the worker.

I could hardly believe this. I still cannot believe it. So, they get the rolls of the voters, separate out the registered Democrats, find out from the election day rolls who did and did not vote, then go out to the ones who either didn't show up at the polls, or do not have a ballot mailed in. (NOTE: I am not sure exactly how this is done, whether they have a way of knowing who sent in their ballot before the election, then go out before the election and knock on doors to obtain ones that didn't get sent in, or they begin sending people out as soon as provisional or mail in ballots are counted on election day and the identities of the voters are known, I don't know. Perhaps another Freeper knows more about this.)

What is disturbing to me is the process. I am, and have always been 100% opposed to "Motor Voter", early voting, mail in ballots, and everything along those lines, except in the case of people who cannot get to the polls on election day for valid reasons including infirmity, business, travel, military service, etc. Those are valid reasons, and should be accommodated.

Voting is the cornerstone of our representative government. If on Election Day, someone cannot get off their lazy ass and make it to the voting booth, they don't deserve to vote. Period. Many people (including nearly all Leftists and even many on Free Republic) disagree with me on this, but I don't give a damn.

When the Motor Voter Law went through under the Clinton administration, it is no accident that that two of the damned grinning and proud Leftists on hand for the ceremony were Richard Cloward and Francis Fox-Piven. This is EXACTLY what people like that want, and I still find it dumbfounding that so many people, including many on this very forum, agree with those two Leftist radicals.

They want EVERY single chink in the armor of the security of the electoral process to be expanded, widened, and exploited in any way possible, and ALL these things, Motor Voter, early voting, absentee ballots, not to mention requiring proof of mandatory citizenship, resistance and opposition to purging voter rolls and requiring valid identification to vote, are all part of that strategy.

I was shocked and astonished to see this practice. We should, every one of us be appalled and disgusted by this. I was equally disturbed by the response of my wife (who is no Leftist) when I described this to her, and she said "Well, it's fine if both sides have the opportunity to do it, right?"

No, it is NOT "fine". My wife is no liberal, but she misses the point entirely. This whole process can and does take place after the polls are closed...most are a week to ten days, but in some cases, up to TWENTY ONE DAYS AFTER THE POLLS CLOSE!

Check out this page for information about state laws on this: National Conference of State Legislatures: About Provisional Ballots to see more information on how states handle them.

This is the deliberate destruction of the voting process, deliberate. To say that "we should do it too" is to miss the point entirely. We call this voter fraud, Leftists call it "Democracy". Folks, this kind of thing is going to spread to other states, make no mistake about it, and when it does, we are finished as a Republic. Finished.

Very good reply, thanks for posting it

The criminal activity is rampant in CA

San Francisco allowing non citizens to vote in local elections is outrageous.
