Corsi files criminal complaint against Mueller, alleges bid to seek false testimony

Conservative author Jerome Corsi on Monday filed a “criminal and ethics complaint” against Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team, accusing investigators of trying to bully him into giving “false testimony” against President Trump.

The complaint, which Corsi had threatened for days, is the latest escalation between Mueller’s team and its investigation targets.

The 78-page document, asserting the existence of a “slow-motion coup against the president,” was filed to a range of top law enforcement officials including Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, D.C.’s U.S. Attorney Jessie Liu and the Bar Disciplinary Counsel.

“Dr. Corsi has been criminally threatened and coerced to tell a lie and call it the truth,” the complaint states.

“Individuals do not file criminal complaints... only prosecuting agencies file criminal complaints.”

From Wikipedia:

“A criminal complaint must state the facts that constitute the offense and must be supported by Probable Cause. It may be initiated by the victim, a police officer, the district attorney, or another interested party.”

I think he has this sick obsession because of his involvement in things and does not want anybody to investigate him or his cronies.

You’re incorrect and the confusion arises from commonly used inexact language. Often when a person reports a crime to law enforcement, it is said he has “filed a criminal complaint.” However that is not the same as filing a legal complaint that is going to result in a trial. Those are lawsuits. Federal criminal actions are styled as “United States of America vs. (name).” No one but a federal prosecutor has standing to bring the action. Likewise, state criminal actions are brought with the state as the plaintiff or, as here in California “The People of the State of California vs (name).” There are some very limited exception, such as here in CA the ASPCA is given limited standing to bring infraction actions. With those minor exceptions private criminal actions are barred. Leeks v. Timmermann (1981) 452 US 83.

Take a look at this purported “criminal complaint” It is a 78 page letter from Larry Klayman to the AG and others asking that criminal and disciplinary charges be brought. It has not caused a criminal case to come into being

This is typically how prosecutors operate...

I agree with your insight. Eisenhower warned us of the 'Military Industrial Complex'. We need to add a similar warning today, "Beware of the Criminal Justice System".

It is a corrupt system, which is less interested in justice as it is in money and seemingly indomitable power over the citizen.

I pray there arise people in government that will begin putting criminals like Mueller in prison. It would do me good to see corrupt government officials like Mueller, the Clintons, the Obamas' etc., who believe they are untouchable - placed in prison or hung for treason.

I believe only when we start imprisoning deep state elites, will we see needed change in our nation.

See my #23. With all due respect to Wikipedia, I’ll put my 28 years before the bar ahead of it as a resource. Look at the “complaint.” It’s a letter, not a court pleading

I think this needs to be investigated for the same Vigor as this BS Russia probe. Accept it should focus on Mueller, Hillary, Clinton foundation, and uranium one. Perhaps offer the same type of immunity deal that Hillary got to all those willing to testify against Mueller and the DNC criminal enterprise.

Correct on not being a criminal complaint. However, it should work as and ethics complaint with the DC bar.

Does this need to be approved by a Grand jury?

“This is typically how prosecutors operate, threatening, bullying, terrorizing defendants into plea bargains, even when there is exculpatory evidence, which they hide, and they know the poor victim has done nothing wrong.”

As we always said, Nifong (of the Duke lacrosse case) was not the only one to operate that way. There are a good many Nifongs out there, up to and including at the federal level.

Good. Stop the left from controlling the narrative again. They have been putting out stories of how mueller is the most ethical guy in Washington. That lie needs some serious debunking.

If Corsi can produce video and other evidence, then this investigation is pretty much over.

However, the FBI (and I assume by proxy the DOJ) has a policy to not allow any recordings other than the notes taken by their agents.
