Thanks for sharing. I will take a minute away from mocking the french surrender monkeys and believe the spirit of those poor bas****s that fought at Verdun still lives. The spirit fueling the Legionnaires at Camerone or the Legionnaires making their first parachute jump into besieged Dien Bien Phu.

I am certain in the spirit of my late brother-in-law who as a young French officer made it to England where he changed his name and joined the American Army.

There is a theory that the 2 world wars in Europe wiped out the warrior gene in the native population. How many Legionnaires were actually French at DBF? Serious question, never thought about that.
