A brief characterization of the piece would be much appreciated.

Does it, e.g., refer to CO2 as a toxin that will lead to a worldwide catastrophe in mid-century (with "minorities, women, transgendered men, and children" hardest hit)? Does it decry the inhumanity of the Trump Administration? Is the reference to "overpopulation of the U.S." a call for more abortions, especially in the ranks of the "Privileged?"

On the other end, does it mention "Reptilians" masquerading as leading politicians; secret Nazi submarine bases in Antarctica, etc.?

Regards,

The problem is uncontrolled migration and resources to sustain a reasonable way of life without decending into third world status for all. The civilized world is being asked to sacrifice their treasures and their citizens lives to support chaos. No matter the sacrifice; chaos will win unless the peoples of third world hell holes solve their own problems. Civilization cannot solve civilization’s problems and third worlders problems too. It must be left to third worlders to solve their own problems. Allowing a standing army of third worlders to set up camp in a civilized nation is national suicide for the nation allowing. Is a slow process but eventually Rome does fall

It makes the argument that taking in immigrants actually hurts not only us but the places immigrants come from. That if someone wants to help people elsewhere they are better off helping them elsewhere.

Thanks for posting that graphic.

That map gets real interesting for the US in 1985 or so with the passage of the acts and 1985 and 1986.

Click on the year slider and set it to 1985 and turn it lose and watch. Sad.

A brief characterization of the piece would be much appreciated.

The video shoots down the leftist sales pitch that immigration reduces world poverty. There are billions of poor people around the world and they breed too fast.

Leftists need to understand the relationship between money spending and pollution. The cost of something you buy is proportional to the total energy used in its manufacture, marketing, and delivery. If one product has a higher total cost of ownership than another, it's a simple matter to track down where it has a higher carbon footprint: just follow the money.

If a poor person earns $2 per day, their pollution footprint is very small. You just can't pollute very much with $2. And poor people, as well as all governments, always spend all their income immediately, and then some. Rich people only convert a small percentage of their money into pollution. They invest the rest trying to reduce the energy consumption of their businesses more than their competitors to get a reward. Rich people are very good for the environment, and both poor and big governments are very bad.

The real reason big governments want immigration: to keep big government employed. Governments see their schools, jails, and low end hospitals emptying out, and an increasing number of government workers with nothing to do. They solve that problem by importing problem people. Imagine a business that also makes the laws of a country to insure their own profit. That is big government.

Love the gumball illustration. I would LOVE to attend an uber liberal event that invited people for the topic of global warming...then put this lil diddy on.

Half would most certainly walk out...but maybe...just maybe you'd catch the attention of 1%, 5% or whatever, and perhaps change their minds.

Interesting - thanks for posting...

Of course the numbers got much larger after 1968... and it’d be nice if there was a differentiation between legal and illegal ‘immigration’... Since breaking in illegally should be treated differently.

The U.S. has a higher percentage of its population incarcerated than any other country in the world. How could anyone in the U.S. be concerned about our jails "emptying out?"

Gov. Moonbeam just release a whole bunch of prison inmates.

He’d release them all if and when he could.

Think that’s improbable?

Let me remind you that in the early 70’s the left dumped virtually all the inmates of mental institutions onto our streets. It was viewed as an act of kindness...

DOJ: 26% of Federal Prisoners Are Aliens

https://cis.org/Huennekens/DOJ-26-Federal-Prisoners-Are-Aliens

According to the Vera Institute of Justice, incarceration costs an average of more than $31,000 per inmate, per year, nationwide. In some states, it’s as much as $60,000. Taxpayers foot the bill for feeding, housing and securing people in state and federal penitentiaries.

We surveyed undocumented persons presenting at our emergency department to investigate the reasons why they sought care in the United States. Overall, 227 visits (8.6%) were made in the emergency department by illegal immigrants, mostly Hispanics. Of 104 patients surveyed, all sought care in this country because they were here at the time, and 86 (83%) intended to remain permanently. Of the 104 persons, 83 (80%) cited lack of funding as a reason for seeking emergency department care. Undocumented Hispanics had a higher uninsured rate (64%) than both Hispanics (32%) and non-Hispanics (30%). Of the 104 patients, 38 (36%) had difficulty obtaining care elsewhere because of their status, 53 (51%) knew of no other sources of care, and 46 (44%) said that even if available, only the emergency department was acceptable. Many undocumented persons seek care in the United States because they reside here permanently, often using this emergency department as their source of care.
