My Dad, also 94, a highly-decorated WWII Vet (Platoon SGT) - Dad-Day, all thru Europe, Battle of the Bulge whgere he was shot by a nazi sniper while rescuing 2 soldiers in his platoon from machine gun ambush, also passed on Oct 13. The York Color Guard did a 21-gun salute, flag-folding ceremony, and 4 A-10 Thunderbolt “Warthog” did a 1,500ft flyover. I gave a 10min eulogy that brought everyone to tears. He was the best man I ever knew. He was my hero and I miss him terribly.

Sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. He probably didn’t even see himself as a hero - just someone doing his duty and looking out for his fellow soldiers. George Bush seldom ever mentioned his war service either, as far as I can remember. His politics are another issue. For the most part you either you see him as an evil NWO person or someone that was too nice to the opposition and did not fight for conservative values. I will let the Almighty judge him.
