Yours is an excellent summary. Indeed, Rogers is a hero. Long term history of the USA will remember him as a kind of Cato the Younger.
Brennan is, sadly, untouchable. Even though he's an unelected spook who abused power and attempted a coup, he's in the camp of the political opposition. He is well-protected.
