Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort lied to the FBI and Special Counsel Robert Mueller's office "on a variety of subject matters" since his plea deal thereby violating the agreement, Mueller said in a court filing submitted Monday night, while adding that Manafort claims he's been truthful.

How would they know he’s lying, unless they already had evidence from a different source? And if they had evidence from a different source, why were they asking Manafort about it? This all looks like a perjury trap to get them off the hook of a deal with Manafort that they didn’t like.
It means that Mueller believes he has the evidence that Manifort broke his low sentence plea agreement by lying. Thus if Mueller can prove he is right, Manifort will face a longer prison sentence for failing to meet the terms of the plea agreement.
