But hey, we’ve taken 1/4 of Mexico’s population while they take virtually no immigrants. Won’t hurt for them to absorb a few of their ethnic bretheren from the south.
I don’t think this will play out well for US in the end.

I fear you may be right. Trump needs to do everything in his power to get this done and over with one way or another before the Democrats take over Congress in January. After that there will be unbelievable obstruction, general foot-dragging, calls for impeachment, and anything else those loons can drag out of their general hatred for the president.
Unless Trump makes a rock-solid case for a border wall NOW, it will never get done in the next decade. This whole immigration issue, as well as the long-hoped-for wall, may be completely buried and forgotten in the general crap-storm coming early in 2019.
not sure if it’s the need for attention, but i wonder why some guys have to insult Ronald Reagan for no good reason.
By the tag names i would guess most are from small towns in the south and many probably wish they were old gunslingers, so not as much thought is put into it as from other regions
And I’m guessing most are VERY young from the maturity level and the fact that they dont remember the 1970s AT ALL.
There would be no country left to change at this point if it was for Ronald Reagan.

People in Honduras are so deluded about the great paradise to the north. They see movies showing all Americans with fancy cars, fine clothes, name brand shoes and jewelry. They hear about people in the US making $20-$30 an HOUR when in Tegucigalpa they make less than $7.00 per DAY with a standard six day week. They equate those big US wages with their local circumstances, which is all they know, and they think they would be filthy rich if they could just get across that border.
I’ve talked with dozens of Honduran people about this, and they are always shocked to learn it costs probably ten times as much to live in the US. Maybe more. Making $25 an hour doesn’t mean crap if it costs you $26 an hour to survive. And then there’s the hard cold fact that they aren’t anywhere likely to make that kind of money. $12 to $14 MAX is the best they could ever hope for, and if illegal with no work permit, a lot less than that.
People here can get by on their poverty wages because their expenses are almost nil. Most pay no rent or income tax, and there is no need for things like A/C or central heating. Government stays off their backs, and they are floored when they hear how much government regulation is involved in living in the US, and how many fees there are for merely trying to survive.
Besides the fact that they won’t be making those big bucks, it’s not what you make that counts, it’s what you have to spend to get by.
Yeah, I read an article where a Honduran, with wife and four children wanted to get to USA to “find a job, and build a house for him and his family”. Like it is really that simple.

Take time to go to Google Maps and take a look at some of the cites in South America and Mexico.. Use the street view. What you'll see is walls, iron bars and concertina wire everywhere.. I sure don't want to live like that..
The commies are doing everything they possibly can destroy our great nation.. Not only from within, but with invaders from the south as well.. They know they can't defeat us with strength of arms so they rush our borders UNARMED... They used our laws and our kind and generous nature against us..
These people are not coming here with morality, kindness, and love for their fellow man.. Their coming here to take whatever they get.. It's nothing more then a strong armed robbery..!
Yes, but it's about forcing Mexico to change their own behavior... they might do better to stop the next group of invaders at their southern border now that they know that if they fail to, they're stuck with them.
