These "refugees" will not be able to afford to stay in Mexico for months, waiting for a decision from a US Immigration Judge. Maybe the UN can set up Refugee Camps outside of border towns. Those are always nice places to live, yes? That will leave the original procedure, applying at an American Consulate, the most attractive option for those who qualify.

The White House had no immediate comment.

Smart move. I can only imagine what pressure was used to force Mexico to swallow this bitter pill. Militarization of the border, border closures, scrapping the new trade deal, new tariffs. Hopefully, Trump stays low key on bragging about this, while keeping the pressure up. As Biden would say, "this is a big f'ing deal".

I don’t think this will play out well for US in the end.

The agreement won’t last long

It'll last until some black-robed tyrant puts an injunction on it.

Maybe FORMER Mexican El Presidente Vincente Fox will be happy to have these F*****g immigrants come and live at his hacienda in the meantime. He’s so good at giving unwanted advice...

>>What I’m not getting is why the U.S. insists upon “processing” them at all. They are, almost all of them, military age males. What the hell is going on here?<<

Why? As always, when you see something not in the best interests of America happening, the reason is simple: Democrats and Deep State.

How? All Judge Taggar said is their claims need to be heard. He didn’t say where.

Unless he’s going to order thousands of new immigration judges to be appointed - it will take years for their claims to be processed.

They might as well turn around and go home. 99% of them will be never be admitted here.

Trump has set a precedent for handling this kind of situation.

I’ve been predicting that AMLO will be more reasonable to deal with than his prissy predecessor. I hope this is the first of many deals with MX to straighten out an absurd situation.

Judge Taggar ruled they can’t just be banned. They need to get a hearing even if their asylum claims are meritless.

They will get their hearing. The lawsuit of Trump’s enemies has just been rendered moot.

No deals. What BS when one considers Mexico and Democrats are worthless in keeping their word on anything while judges simply smack the President down at every turn. I have a feeling that the wall that we envision will never be built. MAGA has a flat tire.

Let an Obama judge order Mexico to follow his order.

Except US law doesn’t apply in Mexico and if he’s that stupid Mexico will tell the idiot gringo to go pound sand.

“Judge Taggar ruled they can’t just be banned”

The judge ruled against Trumps action
of denying asylum claims to those that
jumped the fence. (entering illegally)
Trump was trying to force them to stay
in Mexico until their cases could be
processed. Trump did not ban all claims.
