I hope you have a way to get some. For now, my parents go there every winter so we have a source. No prescription needed and they are under $2/each.

It’s stunning how much we pay here and how environmental concerns trump peoples’ need to open their airways.

Some people firmly believe that meds from Mexico can’t be safe, but it was a nurse who picked them up for us. She also has asthma and the US inhalers no longer work for her so she gets hers in Mexico.

The inhalers I’m talking about are the albuterol rescue inhalers. Sadly, symbacort is not available there. It’s the only maintenance med that works for our son, insurance doesn’t allow it at all and we just can’t afford to pay full price for it. The less expensive options don’t have a propellant and they don’t work for him.

I appreciate the info. It’s crazy the cost of some of these inhalers. My mother has COPD and is on an inhaler that cost almost $400.
