Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith smilingly posed for a photo in 2014 while wearing a Confederate cap and holding a rifle, then put the image on her Facebook page with the words "Mississippi history at its best!"
That image, taken at a Mississippi museum, resurfaced Tuesday as AT&T, Leidos and Walmart joined two other companies, Union Pacific and Boston Scientific, in asking Hyde-Smith, a Republican, to return campaign contributions because of controversy over her recent jest about being willing to attend a public "hanging."

And it should be a 40 point win for any Joe Blow Republican.
But, some Republicans are not smart enough to win even in Mississippi.
A woman after my own heart...
quit reliving the a$$ kicking you helped bring on in alabama. until she starts dating 13 year olds, the mississippi seat is safe.
Fake news hit piece.
On schedule.
The confederate hat bs is probably not damaging. But some of her other BS doesnt help. On the other hand its the same strategy the Dems used in Florida against DeSantis and it failed.
Where does the Republican Party find these candidates?

Let the bigotry begin.
“Fake news hit piece.”

Go away.
What part of “History” don’t democrats understand? So she poses in a Confederate hat and that makes her a Confederate?
Do any of these people ever learn anything? Does common sense ever enter the picture? If I were advising candidates, especially Republican candidates, I would steer clear of anything that might smack of Stupid PC in this day and time.
She should have had that picture scrubbed a long time ago. In fact all politicians should not have twitter, Facebook, or any social media pages. They just invariably get into trouble no matter what.
Funny when its the Democrat Party that instigated the War Of The States.
There was help on that from both sides of the aisle.
“Wow. First its the hanging comment. Now this. “
Her only truly disqualifying comment was when she seemed to support a voter suppression effort.
The rest of it is just somebody out of their element...and their league.
She’s probably a nice lady who means well...and an IQ of 85.
no
Southern White Woman Privilege. Film at 11.
I can’t foresee any scenario where Cindy Hyphen-Smith can lose this race.
