I’m actually growing weary of correcting these nitwits that conservatives “don’t believe people deserve a right to healthcare.”
I'm tired of hearing liberals promote "rights" which are really just a claim on somebody else's life. If we really did have a "right" to healthcare, then in the event of insufficient funds to pay for the services of doctors and nurses it would be appropriate to force the doctors and nurses to perform healthcare services without pay.
There is no such thing as a "right" to something that requires the effort of others to provide for your right. It is no more logical than a right to be warm in your house, or free from the risk of earthquakes, or a right to receive money every month. Rights are things you already have, which are to not be infringed by the government. Rights can't be things that may or may not be possible to provide based on how much money is available to provide them.
