Defeated Republican Martha McSally could make it to the Senate after all with an appointment to the seat that John McCain held prior to his passing.
It's currently occupied by Jon Kyl, who had served in the Senate before and retired. He has only committed to doing the job until the end of the year, which would provide Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey with a new opportunity to appoint someone, possibly McSally.
'Martha McSally would be a very good member of the United States Senate, however she got there,' Kyl told CNN on Tuesday. 'And I regret that she didn't make it in her election.'

So it’s almost a guarantee the GOPe will do just that...
McSally lost precisely because conservatives saw her as a RINO or liberal, and they will no longer support such people most anywhere in the US.
This means that she would be the worst appointee to office, with her support coming almost exclusively from the national Republican leadership and wealthy donors.
In turn, Ducey is very popular with conservatives. But this could end with a bad appointment. After decades of misery with McCain, Arizona conservatives will only support a conservative candidate.
One of the hopes I had was that Trump would inspire more good people to run for office as Republicans.
Apparently that tree has yet to bear fruit.
So the marxist who stole the seat is a better choice?
McSally seems to think so, she didn’t put up any fight.
If McSally lost by acting like another McCain and shunning Conservatives, then we need to dump her.
