FWIW, some 33,000 deaths occur in the US each year from firearms. Thats a lot, but not in the top 10. Physician error, though is estimated to cause over 250,000 deaths annually, making it the THIRD leading cause of death in the US annually.

33,000 are killed with guns, not "from" guns. Big difference.
Don't let them win the definitions game. Guns do not have volition. There is no evidence that more guns results in either more murders or more suicides.
There is plenty of contervailing evidence.
