Sessions should have never given up the seat. He should have at least left the Trump administration when he was offered the republican nomination to run against Doug Jones, since it was already known Trump wanted him out. He would probably be fine in the senate again, but it depends on who else is available. If Sessions would have the easiest time defeating Jones, I would like to see him run, but if there's a younger conservative with just as much, or a better, chance at winning I think Sessions should retire and help them win the seat.
