“The GOP has done nothing about it.”
When you do nothing then you still have something to do with it. The general attitude even here on FR is that it does not happen on a massive scale. People who bring up Vote Fraud are kooks. There is so much evidence that massive and planned vote fraud is happening at every stage of the voting process.
Until people get serious about fixing it then it is only going to get worse. Those who do not want to see; are just as guilty as those that are doing it.
You can try to stop if at the enforcement level, but that will only have limited effect. The real key is to stop it by eliminating the methods of committing it. Here are few that should legally apply in federal elections.
1. Eliminate all 3rd party get out the vote groups and activities. Any such party needs to be guilty of a federal crime. Voting is a responsibility and if you can’t handle the responsibility then you should not vote.
2. Eliminate Early voting except Absentee ballots. And only allow those when it can be proven that such voters cannot vote in person.
3. Establish Strong over-site and monitoring of all polling places and election offices. Give those doing the monitoring plenty of power to stop illegal practices. Make sure that those doing the monitoring are not compromised.
4. Establish voter ID
5. Cleanup the voter roles. Every person on the list needs to be verified. Citizenship required.
The names of EVERYONE who voted and where they voted should be released to the public after the election. Then, there is a one week time span to protest any listing that can be proven ineligible to have voted such as non-citizen, a dead person, not registered, voted in multiple locations, etc.
