Voting irregularity witnessed:

In Hillsborough county precinct 531 with approximately one hour left in voting they stopped tallying the paper ballots. They came over and opened the box that collected the paper ballot and started removing ballots and placing them into a roller-type suitcase. The elderly woman was on all fours pulling out ballots in small bunches, probably 1/2” thick. She’d look at the top, turn some over and sometimes put another one on top from inside the box. For over 30 mins we waited as she kept taking small bunches out and doing the same. Probably 40+ bunches in all. I concluded she was sampling ballots as she transferred them into the suit case.

At the end she explained the ballot box only held 1200 ballots so they had to empty it. However, the ballot box was clearly not full and had a larger volume then the suitcase the ballots were transferred into. Another poll worker assisted her pushing the ballots down in the suitcase by hand. It was clear at the end the suitcase wasn’t even 3/4s full which meant the larger ballot box had much more capacity.

She also explained what she was doing as she was going along to the poll assistant, like she had not done it before that day.

After the long wait they resumed taking ballots.

So my question is -why were they cleaning out the ballot box 1 hour before polls closed and the polling officials show up to collect the ballots? She ‘sealed’ the suitcase with a red zip tie from a bag of red zip ties.

The poll watcher lady was fat elderly woman with a marriage ring on their right ring finger. The assistants were all african americans which are rare in this area.
