Ha Ha! I’ve always argued that maybe we got the 17 Amendment because of the corrupt state legislators whims.
I’m in TN and I still don’t trust ours. Too many RINO’s and refugee Dems left.
When the 17th amendment was passed it was due to massive corruption and bad management in the state legislatures. Elimination of the amendment is not a cure all but it is something to look at seriously as they were state employees who were tasked with hosing down the goofballs in the house and protecting the state from them.
