ABCs *The Day After* was a made for TVdocudrama about Reagan (a sound-alike) starting a nuclear war, with panel discussions for the audience afterwards.
I remember the anti-nuke hype from the 80's all too well. Remember the No Nukes concerts? They were the brainchild of Jackson Brown and John Hall, lead singer of Orleans (Still the One) and my fmr Congressman (NY11). They were done to raise awarness of the dangers of nuclear proliferation, esp. under the eeevil "Raygun" regime, the "doddering old man with is finger on the button". Sting, Pat Benetar, the Talking Heads, an up and coming Maddonna and anyone who was someone performed at these venues. Funny how these concerts weren't brought back during the Iranian nuke deal to warn a new generation of the impending dangers of a nuclear holocaust.

Yeah, but the music was pretty good, despite the commentary. Even the protest songs of yesteryear were pretty darn good...nothing today compares...
