Speaking of Murphy.....I have just such a bad cat.
He drives me nuts.
He is not allowed in bedroom at night for his prowling and two dogs also sleeping.
Come 6 in the am (5 am this particular morn) he stands outside the bedroom door and HOWLS....loud, please dear Lord....loud.
One morning I got so mad I grabbed a broom and chased him all over the house.
He stopped the morning howling of late please make it stop.
He also will get on the counter with the other two cats to await his morning meal. When I walk by doing this and that, he reaches out, claws extended, AND STABS ME WITH A SHARP CLAW.
“Use your hand to fix my food,” he is saying as my hands doing anything else are a waste of time.
Sheldon.
His name is Sheldon.
He was born in this house. His mother also lives here.
Sheldon beats up his mother at least once a day.
anybody want a feisty cat?
We have a rental cat. Belongs to the neighbors. But, she too gets beat up on a regular basis. So is always looking for a peaceful nights sleep. We rent him a space at the end of our bed quite often.
For a cat training/correction device, I like the "repurposed" cleaner squirt-bottle, filled with water. It allows you to "reach out and touch someone" (shoot the bastard)
Time to wash the kitty!
They hate it...you love it. Soon all you have to do is reach for "the weapon" and the cat complies (or flees).
Pompeo up on FNS.
My mind reels back to the old days on the farm and the barn cats.
On hot summer days we used to swim in the river, ahhh good old summertime...
I remember when the old man taught me to swim, I thought I would surely drown, those kittens kept scratching me but once I we got out of the burlap sack... we was on to Old man Welsch’s lumber mill, yeah they was cutting up wood back there..
Any no kill shelters in your neck of the woods?
