Thanks. As you might tell, I personally know of lots of families touched by loss of their kids.
One of the problems is Baby Boomers get a prescription for Vicodin or some other opiod and, when they get it home, say “I’m not touching that stuff. I’ll use Advil instead.” Then the bottle of opioids stays in the medicine cabinet until the kids find it who either use it or sell it.
A friend of my son’s was using his Dad’s medication for Stage 4 cancer until they begin asking “Why are my pills running out so quickly?”
What kind of creature steals medicine that alleviates the pain of a Stage 4 cancer in a family member?
What a sad state of affairs. I noticed an ad about that in CVS where they said to keep your own kids from using a few of your Rx drugs. Showed a well groomed, well dressed girl. Sad.
