President Donald Trump on Tuesday will travel to Pittsburgh to visit with family members of the victims of a Saturday shooting at a synagogue that left 11 dead.
The shooting was a chilling act of mass murder and an act of evil, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said as she fought back tears. She called anti-Semitism a plague to humanity.
During a rare press briefing, she also called for all Americans to rally around the countrys Jewish community.

I am hearing reports that various Jewish leaders will not welcome him unless he takes responsibility for his rhetoric.
Do they actually mean his rhetoric or what the MSM says his rhetoric is? They are not the same.
Actually, I just checked on what they are demanding, and was going to correct my post. They want him to denounce his white nationalism.
I would think they would prefer Obama denouncing his association with Louis Farrakhan, who just last week likened Jews to termites.
Guess not.
would be a good idea to bring Ivanka and Jared
Thanks for the update. . .Trump never made “white nationalist” comments, he made “nationalist” comments, as opposed to “globalist”.
That was Fake News. It was a group called Bend the Arc started by Alex Soros. They sent a press release claiming that the 11 people who signed their protest were “Jewish leaders” and the compliant news media reported it that way.
I looked at the leadership list of the Jewish Federation of Pittsburgh on their website, and not a single one of the 11 people who signed the letter is on the list. If you google them, you will find that the 11 signatories are lightweights and political neophytes (there is one who graduated from Columbia Law School and practices employment law, but he is the exception).
Of course, anyone with any sense understands that.
That would be like Barrack Obama posing in photographs with anti-semitics attending anti-Semitic, or projecting anti-Semitic policies against Israel.....
This is what presidents do! The group of 12 is a far left wing Jewish Consortium and does not represent the Jewish population of the Greater Pittsburgh area! I’m going to an Interfaith vigil tonight at a reformed synagogue. I am a Messianic Jew and a retired pastor. There will be Christians Jews and other believers having a vigil for the dead in Pittsburgh
During a rare press briefing. What the heck?
Then, the community Jewish leaders should immediately come forward and denounce this group, because it is front and center, such as being reported by WAPO, thousands sign letter saying Trump was not welcome. USA Today, Pittsburgh Jewish leaders to Trump, dont come until you denounce white nationalism. People, Esquire, Washington Times and many more are reporting the same thing and if thats the case then local news is reporting the same.
It is now up to the Jewish community, because if my President isnt welcome there, to represent this ENTIRE country that is in mourning, then that is shameful.
“I’m afraid POTUS will be walking into a Lefty ambush here.”
I think President Trump should comfort the families of the victims and the members of the congregation and the community as a whole.
He should state clearly that America will not tolerate crimes against Jews or any kind of anti-Semitism.
If people wish to protest him, embarrass him or create a disturbance he should not let it distract him from his mission.
I appreciate your telling the Jewish community of Pittsburgh what to do.
The fact is that the Rabbi of the synagogue that was attacked said on CNN that he would welcome the President’s visit, and the President is scheduled to be there tomorrow.
Those Jewish leaders are going to find out their britches don’t fit anymore.
Wish President Trump and our first lady would bring Ivanka and Jared with them.
Also, wish that arrangements could be made for Bibi Netanyahu to join them tomorrow.
Finally, it would great to have Mark Levin there as well.
Our President has a long friendship with Bibi as does Mark.
Just imagine how wonderful it would be to have all of the above in Pittsburgh.
Many of our ancestors escaped from the Russian progroms of the nineteenth century because the czars hated Jews and wouldn’t lift a finger to help them, let alone care enough about them to comfort their families in mourning.
Donald Trump is the exact opposite of this. If many American Jews aren’t grateful, it’s a shame.
LOL - trite as it has become, if liberals didn’t have double standards, they wouldn’t have any standards at all ;)
And I appreciate YOU appreciating me. To further the FACT, there are about fifty reports to the negative and one to the positive.
The ratio of news articles will change when President Trump is greeted with affection and gratitude by the majority of people he sees at the synagogue tomorrow.
Do you really think the media would publicize a statement by genuine Jewish leaders in Pittsburgh exposing Bend the Arc for the Soros front group that it is? Their statement would die in darkness. If the media were curious about it they would have reported on who the “Jewish Leaders” are in Alex Soros’s group, or they would have sought interviews with genuine Jewish leaders in Pittsburgh to get their reaction, as they did with the rabbi of the synagogue.
